Way Forward

About Us

WayForward

Founded in 1990 by Voldi Way, WayForward has become one of the biggest independent developers in the video game industry and home to some of the finest talent in the business.  We got our start during the PC, Super NES, and Genesis era of gaming, rode the educational CD-ROM wave through the '90s, and eventually found our way back onto handhelds and consoles. We’ve built our reputation on solid gaming fundamentals, feature-quality character animation, and the ability to faithfully turn any brand into interactive entertainment – including original properties of our own design, adaptations of comic book and Hollywood favorites, and exciting new entries in classic gaming franchises.

ABOUT US

Our Games

The list of titles that WayForward has developed is extensive, at well over 200 released products. Since the advent of digital distribution, we've launched a number of self-published projects, including Shantae and the Seven Sirens (as well as other games in the award-winning Shantae series), River City Girls 1, 2, and Zero, the Mighty Switch Force! series, Spidersaurs, Marble Knights, Cat Girl Without Salad, The Mummy Demastered, LIT, and many others!

And when we're not publishing our own games, we're developing or contributing to games for other publishers with titles such as Advance Wars 1+2: Re-boot Camp, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Double Dragon Neon, DuckTales Remastered, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Contra 4.... The list goes on and on!

Publishing

Recently, we've even collaborated with other developers to help bring titles such as 13AM Games' Dawn of the Monsters and Last Dimension's Mystik Belle into the world. But no matter what capacity we operate in, we're always aiming to bring the fun to new platforms and territories all across the globe!

Our Goal!

We want to create the most entertaining games under the sun. Our goal is to engage, delight, surprise, and match wits with gamers of all ages on whatever gaming devices they can be found! Of course, a little humor along the way never hurts.
