Announcing the Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution Deluxe Edition

Featuring extra content, it launches on consoles & PC later this summer alongside the Standard Edition

Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution, the lost chapter in the Shantae saga, will arrive digitally on consoles and PC later this summer, allowing players to at last experience this once-canceled hair-whipping, hip-shaking action-adventure. You can enjoy the game either with updated HD character art and UI elements, or the original full-pixel treatment, as well as the series-first four-player Battle Mode. But that's not all! In addition to the standard version of the game, there will also be a digital Deluxe Edition, launching right alongside the Standard Edition, containing exclusive extra content. We've prepared this Deluxe Edition FAQ for your consideration!

Q: What is included in the Deluxe Edition?
A: The Deluxe Edition adds three awesome extra costumes — Sizzle Armor, High Voltage, and Relic Hunter — that change Shantae's in-game sprites and HD portrait art, and also boost her magic-attack capabilities. There are no other content changes.

Q: How do I get the digital Deluxe Edition?
A: You will be able to purchase the Deluxe Edition from the digital storefront on the platform of your choice: Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, or Steam (PC).

Q: How much does it cost? Is it free?
A: The Deluxe Edition content is not free. It will cost a few gems more than the Standard Edition - but we daresay it'll be worth it!

Q: Is there any other way to get this content?
A: Right now there are no plans to offer the Deluxe Edition as a separate upgrade, so if you buy the Standard Edition, you will need to purchase the full Deluxe Edition separately if you later decide you want the exclusive content.

Q: Will there be separate physical versions for the Standard Edition and the Deluxe Edition?
A: No! Our current physical plans call for all physical versions to contain the Deluxe Edition content, so if you buy physical, you'll get the whole enchilada.

Q: Is the Deluxe Edition coming to Game Boy Advance?
A: No. Due to technical reasons, this content could not be included in the Game Boy Advance release, and there are no plans to release a new GBA version that includes this content.
