Hi guys, I’m one of the backers for Shantae Half-Genie Hero,
like some of the other backers I have ordered the WII U version of the game.
but my WII U Is busted, I was going to try and get a replacement, but the Nintendo Switch is coming out soon and I don’t have the means to both replace the WII U and get the new console.
So I was wondering.
Will the WII U version of Shantae Half-Genie Hero work on the Switch?
I know that the game will be a download. but I want to be sure that I either replace the WII U or wait until I have the Switch?October 22, 2016 at 11:28 am #13025
Considering that Nintendo Switch is running on custom Nvidia Tegra chip, so it might be easy to port PC version to run on Nintendo Switch.
But it’s still supposed to be a mobile device of sort so no, it’s not going to happen at launch and even if the game would appear on newest Nintendo console, there is still going to be a lot of porting to do. Also, Nintendo Switch won’t have backwards compatibility so you better find someone who can fix your Wii-U.October 26, 2016 at 5:46 pm #13032
At this time we cannot confirm a Switch port for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. And according to our information, Switch will not be backwards compatible.
If you need to change consoles, you can do so by contacting email@example.com. Let them know the e-mail address you used to pledge and they can help you update your information from there.November 3, 2016 at 1:49 am #13049
I am hoping it will feature something like the WiiU did, which is the Wii-Mode that allows you to play your old games.November 3, 2016 at 6:15 am #13050
