I wrote a little GreaseMonkey user script that modifies the forum’s reply buttons to insert a quote of the replied-to post into the reply field, complete with the name of the person you’re replying to. If anyone is interested, it can be found here. I haven’t tested it extensively (though I am currently using it and thus likely to uncover any issues on my own), so use at your own risk.
Of course, this requires Firefox with the GreaseMonkey plugin for easy installation. It could probably be made to work on other browsers too, but I’m not familiar with how to do that.
