Can I still back Shantae: Half-Genie Hero?

Unfortunately, no.  PayPal has closed, and we are not taking donations any longer.  Funding and scope of the game has been finalized! Thank you again to all of our backers who made this possible.  For those who didn’t get the chance to back the project you’re welcome to stay up on the latest news via the Kickstarter update page, or our Twitter or Facebook!

Do PayPal backers get the backer exclusives?

Absolutely! Backer exclusive items are available to fans who backed us via PayPal.

What are the PC specs for Shantae Half Genie Hero?

Minimum:

    • OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
    • Processor: 2.2 GHz Dual-Core CPU with Hyper Threading
    • Memory: 2 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 310 or equivalent (it must be able to manage Pixel Shader 3.0) with at least 1GB of display memory
    • DirectX: Version 9.0
    • Storage: 2 GB available space

Recommended:

    • OS: Windows®8 or Windows®10
    • Processor: AMD Phenom(TM) II X6 1035T Processor @ 2.6GHz / Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4GHz or higher
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or higher
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Storage: 3 GB available space

Can I change my platform preference to a physical copy?

We can’t offer that option, because WayForward will not have the ability to distribute physical copies. However, we expect that Backer DLC will be compatible regardless of whether you bought a physical copy or downloaded the game (Example: If you have PS4 digital with Backer DLC, the PS4 disc version would have the same features unlocked). We don’t want Backers locked away from the content they’ve backed.

Will the Physical Game's Soundtrack be the same as the soundtrack backers will be receiving?

No. Although many of the songs will be the same, the Backer CD includes backer-exclusive bonus music. Both discs are expected to look somewhat different as well.

Will there be a separate music CD you can purchase for SHGH?

Presently there are no plans for a separate music CD.

Will there be physical EU copies? Is it only in the US? Does this effect the EU release date for digital copies?

We have not announced a publisher for EU yet! This does not affect the target release date for EU digital. We hope to release all versions at the same time if at all possible.

Is Game Stop the only place you will be able to pre-order the game? Can they be pre-ordered at EB Games in Canada? Can they be pre-ordered on Amazon?

No, this is not exclusive to GameStop, and you can find the pre-order on Amazon. More pre-orders should appear at various retailers during the following months.

Will there be an Xbox One physical release?

Currently we do not have any announcements regarding Xbox One retail.

Will there be another Early Access Build for backers before the game is released in September?

We aren’t planning another update for Early Access, as we’re busy preparing the final version.

Will there be a Steam pre-order option?

Possibly. We are looking into this.
